"General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Take care of patient 0-18. Blended unit and take all diagnosis. Medical, ortho, surgical, oncology, minimal PICU and rehab patients. Procedure: spinal taps, bone marrows, I&D wounds, complex dressing changes and wound care, transfusions, IVs, and NG’s. Assist physician with other procedures. possible adult overflow.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
EPIC, AcuDose Medication System
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years. PICU experience a plus but not required.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
ND or compact state RN license. PALS and BLS- must be AHA
Shift or schedule requirements.
12 hour shifts, everyother weekend and holidays
Floating to over units/departments.
NICU to take grower feeder assignment
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
17 beds
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
1:4 regular floor patients, 1:3 intermediate care and 1:2 or 1:1 for PICU patients
Dress Code:
Navy scrubs or navy bottoms with a child friendly scrub top
Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. 1-2 shifts of orientation on the floor."
