- Ideal Schedule: The site prioritizes providers who can cover 7 consecutive days (Monday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM). The estimated shifts per month are 7.
- Mixed Practice Setting: The typical day is split between:
- Outpatient Clinic: 4 hours (8 AM 12 PM), seeing 7-10 patients (40 min new/20 min established).
- Inpatient Rounding: Afternoons dedicated to rounding/consults (typically 3-4 consults per day).
- Call Details: You will be on 24-hour call with a 30-minute response time (In-House/Telephone). Call volume is low (1 2 calls per night) and typically does not require an in-person hospital presentation.
- Solo Practice: You will work solo but have all medical subspecialties (excluding Rheum and Peds Specialists) available on-site.
- EMR: The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
- Provide both inpatient and outpatient neurology services.
- Manage a daily census of 7-10 outpatient clinic patients.
- Perform procedures: Preferred skills include EMG, reading EEG, and continuous EEG.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage, including afternoon inpatient rounding on patients admitted through the hospitalist program.
- Act as the primary contact for any required neurology consults.
- Education: MD or DO.
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED to apply. We will not consider IMLC candidates.
- Certifications: Active DEA and CSR licenses are required.
- The target start date is March 2, 2026.
- Privileging is estimated to take 120 days.
