Our job summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting materials within a facility by operating forklifts to load, unload, and stack goods according to production schedules and inventory instructions. The role requires adherence to safety standards, completion of daily equipment checks, and maintaining product quality. Candidates must have at least one year of forklift experience, certification per OSHA standards, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout their shift.

Position Title: Forklift Operator

Wage: $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd

Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 11:00pm - 7:00am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Forklift Operator at a company in Richfield, WI. This is a potential to hire position. At least one year of experience with forklifts is required to qualify, apply today!

Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping order and transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility
- Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines based on production schedule
- Load and unload goods from vehicles
- Move goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility
- Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Check loads are secure
- Stack empty pallets
- Perform daily equipment checks on forklifts based on OSHA guidelines
- Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Dump materials into machine hoppers

Requirements for Forklift Operator:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of forklift experience
- Good math, language and reading skills
- Basic computer skills
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
- Able to use an RF scanner gun
- Able to stand for entire shift
- Able to lift 50lbs throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certification per OSHA standards
