Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with a current HI license and strong float capability for a Flex Pool day shift.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Flex Pool setting, floating between Adult Med/Surg, Surgical Acute (Laulima), and Cardiovascular units
- Adult patient population across various acuity levels
- 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915, scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
- Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 (days/eves), Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4
- Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
- Rare float to Cardiovascular unit may be required
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours before starting the assignment
- Plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to complete pre-employment health requirements
- Professional nursing attire, clean scrubs required
- Orientation is provided for each unit to which you will float
- Proof of immunity must be documented; exemption requests are not accepted
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute Med/Surg RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Ability to float between multiple units as needed
