Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Hawaii, requiring an active HI RN license and advanced fetal monitoring skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a rural community hospital's Labor & Delivery department
- Cares for Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Nursery, Obstetrics, and Post Partum patients
- Handles approximately 45-50 deliveries per month
- Required to work 12-hour night shifts only
- May float to assist other nursing departments but not as a primary nurse
- Couplet care experience is necessary
- Responsibilities include caring for laboring and postpartum mothers as well as newborns
- Charge nurse duties may be assigned with additional compensation
- Must be available to the hospital at all times and for all shifts, with a focus on nights
- Travelers may be floated to other nursing departments as needed
- This position is in a rural healthcare environment in Hawaii
Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 4 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP are mandatory
- Experience with intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring is required
- Certifications such as CPI, ENPC, RNFA, TNCC, AWHONN, NIHSS, STABLE, and C-EFM preferred
