Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in an ambulatory recovery room, requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications and a FL or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ambulatory recovery room (PACU) setting
- Patient care focuses on post-anesthesia recovery
- 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:30
- On-call required: within a 6-week period, 4 weeknights, 2 weekend days, and 2 weekend night shift calls
- One major and one minor holiday call shift required if holiday falls on scheduled shift
- Responsible for the care and monitoring of patients recovering from anesthesia
- Must provide two professional references
- RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included with initial application
- Holiday call coverage may be required if a major or minor holiday falls during scheduled shifts
- Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
- First time travelers may be considered
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year PACU experience required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
