- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shift: Days, 5x8-hour shifts/week (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620–$2,690
- Call Requirements: One 12-hour shift/month (Saturday or Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends/month)
- Floating: Mandatory float within 50 miles to support Chicago healthcare facilities
- Charting System: Cerner EMR
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue (provided)
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Operating Room (OR RN experience)
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Strong scrub and circulate skills in surgical nursing
- Experience in orthopedic, orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery
- Preferred: Experience in neurosurgery (crani and spine), open heart/thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology
- COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Must be responsive and able to meet compliance deadlines (lab work within 72 hours of accepting assignment)
- Locals accepted (must live within 75 miles of the facility)
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, Level 1 Trauma Center
- Scrub and circulate for a wide range of surgical procedures: orthopedic, trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgeries
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation and work every other weekend as required
- Float to other Chicago healthcare units within a 50-mile radius as needed
- Comply with hospital policies, compliance, and vaccination requirements
