Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring ND or compact RN licensure and strong cardiac cath lab scrub skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital cardiac cath lab
• Three procedure labs with an average of six cases per day
• Patient population includes emergent revascularization, cardiac device implantation, and advanced interventional cardiac procedures
• Day shifts Monday through Friday, 0700-1530, with flexible 8 or 10-hour shifts as assigned
• Call required one weeknight per week and every third weekend, with a 20-minute response time
• Exposure to and use of equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, Siemens C-Arm, and Philips Xper (Hemo)
• Documentation in EPIC EMR; EPIC experience preferred
• Scrub duties only; panning performed by Radiology Tech
• Normal team structure includes a four-person team and 1-2 team leads daily
• Level II trauma environment
• All job duties are focused on cath lab scrub responsibilities as part of a four-person team
• One-week unit-specific orientation provided
• Required to wear hospital-provided scrubs and dedicated hospital shoes; lead will be provided if needed
• Must bring own lock for locker
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Not eligible if employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
• Only up to 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract; no additional RTO will be approved
• Holiday on-call required every other holiday

Requirements

• Active ND or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of recent cath lab RN experience with scrub responsibilities
• Experience with STEMI cases and devices such as IABP and Impella is required
• Ability to work with advanced cath lab technologies including Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro
• Radiation badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
