American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring ND or compact RN licensure and strong cardiac cath lab scrub skills.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital cardiac cath lab
- Three procedure labs with an average of six cases per day
- Patient population includes emergent revascularization, cardiac device implantation, and advanced interventional cardiac procedures
- Day shifts Monday through Friday, 0700-1530, with flexible 8 or 10-hour shifts as assigned
- Call required one weeknight per week and every third weekend, with a 20-minute response time
- Exposure to and use of equipment such as IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, Siemens C-Arm, and Philips Xper (Hemo)
- Documentation in EPIC EMR; EPIC experience preferred
- Scrub duties only; panning performed by Radiology Tech
- Normal team structure includes a four-person team and 1-2 team leads daily
- Level II trauma environment
- All job duties are focused on cath lab scrub responsibilities as part of a four-person team
- One-week unit-specific orientation provided
- Required to wear hospital-provided scrubs and dedicated hospital shoes; lead will be provided if needed
- Must bring own lock for locker
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Not eligible if employed full-time, part-time, or PRN by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
- Only up to 7 days of requested time off permitted per 13-week contract; no additional RTO will be approved
- Holiday on-call required every other holiday
- Active ND or compact state RN license required at time of consideration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of recent cath lab RN experience with scrub responsibilities
- Experience with STEMI cases and devices such as IABP and Impella is required
- Ability to work with advanced cath lab technologies including Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro
- Radiation badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
