Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) license – Georgia or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the inpatient surgical (Med/Surg) unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using the MEDITECH electronic health record system
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the healthcare provider
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and post-surgical recovery
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and best practices in nursing care
