This position involves providing per diem physician services focused on non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments primarily for veterans. The role requires performing interview-based evaluations, physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing, and utilization of specialized tools like the goniometer. Candidates should have experience in general medicine specialties such as family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery, and be proficient in musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, and neurological evaluations with quick onboarding and certification processes.
- Wausau, WI - per diem office available
1099 compensation:
-$600 for half day (4 hours)
-$1300 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Willing to accept these specialties: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, etc, or anyone with a background in general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension.
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
The provider will need to complete their DMA training.
