Locums NP/PA - CVT Surgery Charlotte, North Carolina
A hospital-based cardiothoracic and vascular surgery service in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking an NP or PA for nocturnal locum tenens coverage. This is a long-term need while the site recruits permanently, with an initial minimum commitment of three months and potential for extension.

7 on / 7 off
12-hour overnight shifts: 6:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
No call

Inpatient setting
Hospital Stroke Certified
Trauma Level I facility
Clinical Responsibilities
Nocturnal coverage of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
Admissions required
Vascular surgery patients in ICU (co-managed with critical care) and on floors
Cardiothoracic surgery patients on floors only
No CT surgery ICU coverage required
Care of step-down patients following transfer out of ICU
No operating room or surgical responsibilities
Procedures
Chest tube removal and management only
No chest tube insertion
Patient Volume
Approximately 10-20 patients per shift
30 beds in facility
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required
Active North Carolina license - Required
DEA required (address change acceptable)
Compact license accepted
ACLS and BLS - Required
