Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in Ohio with Epic experience and advanced cardiac ICU skill requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio typically 1:1 or 1:2
- Care for critically ill cardiac patients requiring advanced interventions
- Shifts available for both days (7A-7:30P) and nights (7P-7:30A), 36 hours per week
- Includes weekdays, up to 6 weekend shifts every 4 weeks, and rotating holiday coverage
- No on-call responsibilities
- Must float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
- Travelers are rotated to other units no more than once every 4 weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide specialized critical care to cardiac ICU patients utilizing advanced monitoring and intervention techniques
- Expected to participate in team-based care with other CVICU staff
- Rotation to alternative units will not exceed once every four weeks
- Holiday coverage is required according to department needs
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience preferred
- Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, SWAN-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and PA lines
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
