CLOSED 12.17.2025On Hold - Pending OfferON HOLD 12.17.2025 Locum CT Surgeon Opportunity near Jersey, VA (EPIC EMR A renowned medical facility near Jersey, VA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board-Certified Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care. This role requires full 24-hour on-call availability to manage complex thoracic cases in a high-volume, hospital-based setting with 21 operating rooms utilizing the EPIC documentation system. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide range of advanced thoracic procedures, including: Minimally Invasive Techniques: Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery. Advanced Diagnostics: Navigational Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Bronchoscopy. Major Resections: Segmentectomy, Lobectomy, Pneumonectomy. Other Procedures: Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm management and Mediastinoscopy. Handle an average of 2-3 cases per day during call-backs. Collaborate effectively with OR, ICU, and multidisciplinary support teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes for adult and geriatric populations. Qualifications Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (Required). Active Virginia Medical License (Required). Current BLS and ACLS Certifications (Required). Experience with complex adult and geriatric thoracic cases is essential. Must be a local candidate (as only mileage reimbursement is available).
