Requires active RN license in hiring state/compact; BLS required; ACLS/NRP/PALS/EFM often preferred. - Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN/Diploma/BSN) - Current state RN license or compact licensure - BLS through AHA (obtain within 30 days if hired) - Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand/walk long shifts - Prior unit clinical experience preferred (L&D, neonatal, pediatrics)

Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide safe, high-quality patient care. The RN maintains professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinates care with interdisciplinary teams and upholds patient rights and confidentiality. Position Details: Education:

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (associate degree, Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure

Required: Current Registered Nurse license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed

Must meet all applicable state Board of Nursing requirements

RN is personally responsible for maintaining active licensure

Preferred: Previous clinical experience related to the hiring unit

Certifications

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Unit-Specific / May Be Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse (CPHON)

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS)

S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)

Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)

Other unit-specific certifications as required within departmental timeframes

Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts

Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, squat, and perform repetitive movements to complete job duties
