Overview:
The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Medical Laboratory Technician
- Education: Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
- Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent
OR
Medical Technologist I
- Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience
- Approved Military Training (if applicable)
OR
Medical Technologist II
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
