Join our client s team as a Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehab). Based in Brooklyn, NY, this role involves traveling between two locations and focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with traumatic injuries and pain management. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide essential medical services to the community.
Compensation: $300,000 - $350,000/year
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehab):
- Pain Treatment: Diagnose and treat pain from injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions.
- Comprehensive Examinations: Conduct thorough examinations for accurate diagnoses.
- Rehabilitation Planning: Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation or treatment plans.
- Documentation: Document patient evaluations, treatments, and medications.
- Medication Management: Prescribe medications for pain management and recovery.
- Patient Education: Provide patient education on exercise, nutrition, and health behaviors.
- Pain-Relief Administration: Administer pain-relief injections.
- Consultations: Consult with other medical professionals to optimize treatment.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
Qualifications for the Physician (Physical Medicine and Rehab):
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in PM&R.
- Education: Medical Degree from an accredited university.
- Licensure: Valid New York Medical License; Workers Compensation Authorized; Licensed Acupuncturist.
- Preferred Experience: Previous clinical experience in PM&R and with work and motor vehicle-related injuries.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with No Fault and Worker Compensation Laws and Regulations.
