Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist La Mesa, CA

Required Skills:
- Physician with valid OB/GYN medical license or eligibility to obtain one in California
- Proven experience in obstetric hospitalist duties and delivery management
- Proficiency in managing high-risk pregnancies and complex OB cases
- Skilled in patient assessment, emergency response, and collaborative care
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
- Ability to perform gynecological procedures, including circumcisions (not required but beneficial)
- Excellent communication, judgment, and team collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with hospitalist services in a high-volume obstetric setting
- Additional certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Obstetric Emergency skills
- Knowledge of Fetal Monitoring and high-risk OB protocols
- Previous work as a first assist during cesarean sections
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based OB practice, preferably with hospitalist experience
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, diverse hospital environments
Other Requirements:
- Availability for weekend and daytime shifts starting from 12/31/2025
- Ability to work weekends and days on a flexible schedule
- Willingness to adapt to hospital protocols and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Valid medical license in California
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced obstetric hospital setting, providing GYN coverage and first assist responsibilities as needed
