• 10 inpatient Psychiatric beds
• Inpatient and Outpatient mix
• The average length of stay for inpatients is 3-4 days
Behavioral Health Practice offers:
• Outpatient New Evaluations-1 hr.
• Outpatient Medication Management visits- 30 min
• Neuropsych evals./med management
• Office hours are M-Friday, with patient hours being 8:30-5p
• Cross cover with Inpatient weekend on call- Friday 5p-Monday 8a (usually 1 weekend a month)
• Cross cover of weekly inpatient call and hospital consults
• PHP- program is currently being re-evaluated with potential move to IOP program
• Outpatient therapy- children through geriatrics
• The practice model for the inpatient unit is set up according to state rules.
• Psychiatrists are responsible for completing a psychiatric evaluation within 24 hours of admission and managing psychiatric medications.
• Rounds must be completed every 24 hours for inpatients.
• Programs for inpatients are scheduled in order to help patients gain further coping skills. Groups are facilitated by Social Service, Recreational Therapists, Psychologist, or Nursing.
• The treatment team consists of Psychiatrists, Nursing, Social Service, and Recreational Therapists.
• EPIC - Electronic Medical Records
