Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry position in Iowa, requiring Epic EMR experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a hospital Med Surg/Telemetry unit
- Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
- Requires use of Epic EMR for documentation
- Every other weekend work is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Participation in an interdisciplinary team to deliver and manage patient care
- Travelers are required to work two out of three winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
- Only one day off can be requested between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
- Mandatory 16 hours of NBO orientation will be provided
- Returning travelers must not have been employed at the facility within the previous 12 months
- Same day interviews are available for qualified candidates
Requirements
- Active Iowa or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications are required
- Epic EMR experience necessary
- Minimum of one supervisory reference from within the past two years is needed
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
