The Cardiac Sonographer performs various cardiac ultrasound procedures including transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms, as well as other noninvasive tests such as electrocardiograms and holter monitor application. This role is responsible for preparing preliminary echocardiogram interpretation reports, ensuring patient care quality, maintaining equipment, and assisting with departmental policies and training. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and relevant education or experience are required, with work performed in clinical hospital and satellite site environments.
