This locum tenens opportunity seeks a board-certified diagnostic radiologist in California to cover emergency and inpatient weekend day shifts, with possible holiday work. The role involves interpreting various imaging studies including CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and plain films using Epic and PowerScribe McKesson systems, without interventional procedures. Candidates must hold an active California license, with fellowship training preferred, and will share shifts with another radiologist to collaboratively manage workload and optimize skills.

CENSUS: o45-50 cross sectionalso80-100 PLAIN FILMSRequirements:oActive CA LicenseoBoard CertifiedoFellowship Trained preferred.Workload Breakdown:To clarify, this is a rough breakdown that each radiologist reads on a weekend day shift.o-3 full Stroke protocol CT studies (CT head, CTA head and neck) - we will be adding CT perfusion soono10 CT abdomen and Pelvis,o3-5 CT chestso1-3 MR brain - strokeo1-2 MR abdomen (MRCP)o15 US (mostly Abdomen with a few early OB studies and a few AFI checks)o80-100 plain films - mostly CXR and ED bonesAnd, of course, with 2 people working, each person may have extra training in some area. The 2 people usually briefly discuss a game plan for the day to see if there is a way to optimize for their skill sets.
