A locum tenens physician position is available in Wisconsin specializing in hematology and oncology, covering both outpatient and inpatient care. The role involves managing 25-30 patients per shift, performing bone marrow biopsies, and providing consults in a community cancer center setting. Coverage includes Monday to Friday shifts with approximately one week of on-call duty per month and requires relevant certification and licensure.
Coverage Needed September 25, 2023 - Ongoing Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Call is approximately 1 week/month and is weekly coverage, Friday morning to Friday morning. Shifts times during call weeks could be variable. Clinical Details Outpatient and Inpatient No Rounding or Admissions 25-30 Patients Per Shift Department sees most hematology/oncology patients (Community based center), and bone marrow biopsies can be completedin the Cancer Center Providers will consult both ambulatory and hospital patients. The Cancer Center has 18 Chemo infusion chairs as well as 2 non-chemo infusion chairs Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible Active WI License or IMLC Fellowship Required ACLS, ATLS, BLS Bone marrow biopsies required Call Beeper 30 Minute Response Time Support Staff 4 MDs RNs, MAs 4 PA/NPs - 2 in their first year of practice Office Staff EMR Cerner
