Job Summary: Established cardiothoracic surgery program at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon.
Qualified Candidates:- Board certified or board eligible
- 5+ year of experience preferred
- Superb communication skills and a passion for program development and collaboration
- Experience and comfort level with heart bypass surgery , valve repair and replacement (including open and endovascular aortic procedures)
- Minimally invasive lung surgery
- Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
- Capable of doing complex cases in independent setting
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
- Must be a lawful permanent resident or legal member of the US
- Leadership opportunity available, if desired
- 1:2 call schedule
