Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a long-term acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of recent experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population includes medical and surgical telemetry patients
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Expected to float within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units and potentially sister campuses
• Epic EMR system is used and prior Epic experience is required
• Team nursing environment with required floating across the hospital and to sister campuses as needed
• Royal blue and white scrubs are required
• Assignments are limited to two contracts; travelers must be gone for six months before returning, or one year if a former staff member
• Up to four days of requested time off may be approved, with a limit of one holiday off per assignment
• Mandatory completion of modules (4-10 hours) prior to the start date
• Vaccination and compliance requirements must be met before starting
• Not open to first-time travelers and does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Active NC or multistate compact RN license required prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must pass an Advanced EKG exam during compliance process
• Epic charting experience is required
• Candidates with background or license hits in the last year are not eligible
• Pending licenses are not accepted
