- Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring intermediate monitoring between ICU and general medical-surgical units.
- Monitor and assess patients with complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-surgical, or chronic illnesses).
- Detect changes in vital signs and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, manage IV lines and catheters, and assist in pain management and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate treatment plans and promote patient recovery.
- Document patient status, provide patient and family education, and operate advanced monitoring equipment.
- Apply critical observation, clinical judgment, and emergency response skills in fast-paced, high-intensity environments.
- Support patients’ emotional needs, ensure comfort, and assist safe transitions from ICU to standard care.
- Maintain professional licensure and certifications and experience in critical or step-down care.
- Emphasize teamwork, patient-centered care, and ongoing professional development.
Must have 1+ year PACU/Pre-Op & Telemetry experience Must have Compact or KS state RN License Must have BLS, ACLS - AHA
