This position is for a Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician focused on providing comprehensive care to inpatient rehabilitation patients, particularly with a geriatric focus. Responsibilities include overseeing patient admissions, leading daily rounding with nurse practitioner support, and managing rehabilitation treatment to promote positive patient outcomes. The role requires coordinating care across multiple sites, ensuring compassionate treatment, and supporting disease prevention and wellness.
Internal Medicine Group with a geriatric focus that provides comprehensive care, managing both common and complex illnesses. Our expertise includes diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints, digestive system, respiratory system, and more. We support and focus on disease prevention, wellness, and effective treatment for healthy patient outcomes.
Daily Responsibilities for a Physiatrist
- Reviewing the new admissions
- Planning and overseeing an NP for rounding daily
- 4 rounds a week
- Comprehensive rehabilitation management for patients
- Medical Oversight and Direction
- Rounds at both sites with nurse practitioner support.
Hours For This Position
Shift: Full-Time;Day shift, flexible with preferred schedule; ideally 4 10's rotate weekend call, 3 mid-levels to support.
Requirements
- Willing to obtain a Texas Licensure/Board Eligibility
- Provide excellent care for the inpatient rehabilitation population
- Provide care that is compassionate, appropriate, and promotes positive patient outcomes
- Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation preferred
