Locum Tenens Otolaryngology Opportunity in Ohio Position Details: Coverage dates: ASAP - Ongoing Shift Description: Monday to Friday On-Call Requirements: Weekend call, 1-2 weekends per month. Friday 7 am Monday 7 am Board Certification or Eligibility in Otolaryngology Active Ohio License (Highly Preferred) Location: Located near Maplewood, Ohio - A charming area offering a blend of natural beauty and a close-knit community. Job Description: Physician Assistants handle first call for both clinic and inpatient. Physician Assistants conduct rounds for inpatients. On-call physicians receive minimal calls due to Physician Assistants taking first call. Clinic call: 5 pm to 7 am for after-hours, with assigned providers on call during the day. Scheduled days/times for procedures: Rotated in block time, typically 1-2 days in the OR per week. Ideal proficiency in all ENT procedures (head and neck, ear surgery, nasal/sinus surgery, laryngology, pediatrics, facial plastics), although not necessary to perform all. Patient Load: In clinic: Average 20-30 patients/day On call: 1-2 patients per week Pediatrics: Yes Support Staff: Nurse, MA, Secretary, Surgery Scheduler, Audiologist, Audiology Tech Not the sole provider: One other physician and three physician assistants in the team. Additional Information: 24-hour in-house hospitalist service available for ED admissions. Supportive and collaborative medical staff, operations team, and leadership. Strong subspecialty support. EMR: Cerner Requirements: Experienced locum to perm candidates are preferred. Equipment available: In-office rigid/flexible scopes, in-office procedures (balloons, etc.), full ENT service line for head and neck, sinus (with new navigation), ears, etc. in the main ORs.
