We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in New York, starting Feb 2, 2026. This assignment offers a Monday through Friday daytime schedule with comprehensive on-call responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role focuses on providing a broad range of interventional radiology procedures in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm; on-call coverage from 4:30pm to 8:00am during weekdays and 24/7 on-call on weekends and holidays
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including angiography, cryoablation, balloon angioplasty and stent placement
- Line insertion, chemoembolization, and IVC filter placement
- Conduct cholecystostomy, vertebroplasty, drain insertions, and nephrostomy placement
- Manage embolization, radiologically inserted gastrostomy, thrombolysis, and dialysis access interventions
- Perform biopsies, TIPS placement, radiofrequency ablation, biliary interventions, and endovenous laser ablation for varicose veins
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology required
- Must be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must hold an active license to practice in any state
