American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position with floating requirements and Epic charting.
Responsibilities- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Required to work every other or every third weekend
- Patient ratios are 1:1 for labor and 1:3 for postpartum
- Floating to other units and facilities is required based on operational needs
- On-call required for one low census shift per pay period
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Must be willing to float between multiple facilities as needed, including the potential for assignment to Seaside, where incentives and accommodations may apply
- Scrubs provided for Maternal Child units; all color scrubs allowed elsewhere
- Returning former employees must have a 3-month break and live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Holiday coverage may be expected based on schedule rotation
- Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is preferred and all RTO must be discussed at the time of application
- Active OR RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience, or 1–1.5 years if worked on a high risk or high census L&D unit
- Current certifications required (BLS, others as specified by facility)
- Must have independent practice ability for night shift
- Must have own vehicle for assignment
- Two supervisory references covering one year of employment in a comparable specialty or setting required
- COVID and flu vaccination documentation required
