Shift: M-W-F 6:30 am 3:00 pm; T-Th 7:00 am 3:30 pm (may extend based on caseload)

End Date: Ongoing intermittent dates through end of year
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric
Setting: Hospital-based (occasional ASC oversight if no cardiac cases)
Responsibilities: Cardiac and general anesthesia cases; participation in a growing cardiac surgery program
Required Procedures: Cardiac anesthesia, TEE (read, interpret, and billable proficiency required)
EMR System: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC), some paper charting
Support Staff: 6 anesthesiologists; may work with CRNA students
Days Per Month: Based on scheduled weeks (June 9, July 7, July 31, August except last week, Sept 1, Dec 26 & 29)
On-Call/Weekends: None
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology Preferred (Board Eligible considered)
Active Iowa license or IMLC Required (Must upload LOQ at name clear)
TEE Certified (able to read, interpret, and bill TEE) Required
Iowa CSR Required
DEA Required
Cardiac Fellowship Preferred (extensive experience acceptable with TEE certification)
BLS, ACLS, PALS Required
COVID Vaccinated Required
Must be available on the listed coverage dates Required
