Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their West Florida Division is seeking an Associate Pathologist to be based at HCA Florida Largo Hospital which is located on the coast directly west of Tampa.

Pathology Services consists of over 200 board certified multispecialty pathologists and provides professional services to over 100 HCA Healthcare owned hospitals as well as commercial clients. We provide expert diagnosis in complex and challenging fields. Among our top priorities is employing the best talent to advance care for our patients.
Qualified Candidates:- AP/CP certification is required
- Over 2 years of practicing experience preferred
- Proficiency in general surgical pathology, clinical interpretations, and frozen sections. Comfortable with liver transplant biopsies.
- Subspecialty training or expertise in liver/GI preferred
- Active Florida Medical License and/or FCVS is a plus
- Volumes approximately 4,000 surgical cases per year, 600 non-gyn cytology cases per year, 2 peripheral smears per day and 1-2 blood bank reviews per week.

About HCA Florida Largo Hospital:- Largo has approximately 450 beds with a Transplant Center (kidney, liver and heart).
- The vast majority of anatomic pathology specimens are GI tract, including pancreatic and liver. Other specimens include a wide variety of cases thoracic, head and neck, urologic and neurologic. Cytology cases consists of effusions, CSF, urine, EBUS, common bile duct brushings, bronchial washings/brushings, and thyroid FNAs.
