Join Our Team as a Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse Make a Difference in Patient Care! We are seeking dedicated and experienced Medical Surgical (Med Surg) RNs to join a dynamic healthcare team. This critical role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH), where your skills will directly impact patient outcomes. The position combines Med Surg and ER responsibilities, working in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism and compassion. Required Skills: Valid RN license in the state of practice BLS and ACLS certifications Prior Med Surg and ER experience, preferably in a Critical Access Hospital setting Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. 7 a.m.) Strong clinical judgment and excellent patient-care skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Ability to adapt to a busy and demanding hospital environment Nice to Have Skills: Experience with CPSI electronic medical records (EMR) Critical Access experience Experience working in a hospital with a high inpatient census and busy ER Ability to work in a smoke-free hospital campus environment Preferred Education and Experience: Nursing degree from an accredited program (associate or bachelor s) Minimum 2 years of hospital RN experience, with specific experience in Med Surg and ER preferred Prior experience in rural or Critical Access Hospital settings is a plus Other Requirements: Local travel accepted at the same rate Willingness to work in a smoke-free campus Flexibility to work in both ER and Med Surg units Must adhere to all infection control and safety protocols Availability to start on 03/10/2026 This opportunity offers competitive pay at $53.60 per hour, with a 12-hour shift length, weekly pay schedule via direct deposit, and comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, paid sick time, licensure/certification reimbursements, and travel expenses when applicable.
