Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Job Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse
• Location: Augusta, Georgia 30904
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Healthcare Setting: On-Site Medical-Surgical Unit
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week, 36 hours/week)
• Open Positions: 3 Med/Surg RN openings

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical bedside experience
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing or related specialties preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while supervising LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and support patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate and coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education from admission
• Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
• Provide direction and support to ancillary healthcare staff, fostering a positive work environment
• Identify opportunities for professional growth and pursue continuing education in nursing
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and unit operations
