Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor and Delivery position requiring NRP, C-EFM, and STABLE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit at a hospital setting
- High-risk L&D patient population
- Day shift: 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
- Call required: 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period with a 45-minute onsite response time
- Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
- Float required within skillset, including to Mom/Baby and postpartum units
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted
- Duties include L&D nursing for high-risk populations and supporting related units as needed
- Modules must be completed pre-start and may be required during orientation
- First time travelers are accepted
- Applicants must be prepared for the possibility of no formal interview process
- Compliance with dress code and holiday shift requirements is expected
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: NRP, STABLE, C-EFM, ACLS, and BLS (all required prior to start)
- Minimum of 2 years recent L&D experience with high-risk cases
- Skills required: Circulation, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), precepting and/or charge responsibilities
- Triage experience preferred
- AWHONN certification preferred
- Two supervisory references required
- Return staff must have a 1-year gap from previous employment with the health system
