Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. They are responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities. LVNs must hold valid licensure and certifications, and typically have vocational nursing education and healthcare experience.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides patient care as assigned by the registered nurse.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Two years or more experience in healthcare delivery as an LVN is required.
LICENSURE
Current LVN licensure in the State of Texas is required. Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required based on location site.
