A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensedNeurologist to provide direct care to patients within the Neurology specialty at one of their medical practices in Rockland County.
About the Opportunity:- Specialty:Neurology
- Setting: 75% outpatient, 25% inpatient
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Patient Population: Adults
- Patient Volume: 15 to 20 per day
- Call Schedule: Yes (24 hours during on-call week)
Responsibilities:The Neurologist will:
- Provide patients with a continuum of care
- Assess the physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs of the patient
- Direct patients to the next appropriate service and track their progress
- Assure that all patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical evaluation whenever indicated
- Ensure thatmedical patient care is appropriately documented in the medical record
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Neurology
- Qualified for membership on the Medical Staff
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Greatinterpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
