Experience Required:
Minimum 2+ years related work experience in radiation therapy
IMRT and IGRT experience required
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Active MA Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy license
ARRT registration
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred:
Experience with MOSAIQ record and verify system
Basic computer proficiency for web-based applications
Position Overview / Responsibilities:
Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment
Maintain inventory of departmental supplies
Provide patient and family education to maximize compliance with treatment plans
Monitor patients’ physical and physiological responses to treatment and refer for management as indicated
Accurately administer radiation therapy and document treatments, reactions, and therapeutic responses
Position, immobilize, and align patients according to treatment plans; solve set-up problems as needed
Collaborate with Level II Radiation Therapists to resolve clinical issues
Utilize quality assurance programs to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery
Adapt contingency plans based on workload and scheduling variables
Education Required:
Graduate of a JCRT-accredited Radiation Therapy program
