A licensed Behavioral Health Psychologist is needed to perform forensic psychiatric assessments, including pretrial and competency evaluations, and to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with forensic mental health needs. The role involves counseling, behavior modification, writing detailed client reports, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Candidates must have forensic psychiatry experience, appropriate licensure, DEA authorization, BLS certification, and familiarity with EMR systems.

- Job Type: Locums
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM
- Duration: 6 months
- Start: Up to 30 days from acceptance due to credentialing process
- Conduct thorough forensic assessments, including pretrial mental evaluations, competency restoration examinations, sexually violent predator evaluations, risk assessments for patients charged with a sex offense, and conditional release assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans specifying the type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy
- Treat and counsel clients using a variety of treatment methods to assist in behavior modification
- Write detailed reports on clients and evaluate the effectiveness of counseling or other treatments, modifying plans and diagnoses as necessary
Qualifications
- Licensed professional in the field of behavioral health
- Experience in conducting forensic assessments and clinical duties
- Strong understanding of various treatment methods and behavior modification techniques
- Excellent report writing and evaluation skills
- Ability to manage a patient volume of 10-15 patients per day
- Must be licensed in the states of Missouri
- DEA full authorization (active)
- BLS Certification
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, though the specific system is unknown
- Psychiatric forensic experience or CFE for the Department of Health
