Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated CVICU RN with a strong background in acute care to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients post open-heart surgery and will be skilled in ICU protocols.
Responsibilities- Provide acute patient care in the CVICU, including post-operative recovery.
- Manage ventilated patients and assist with chest tube insertion/removal.
- Utilize advanced monitoring devices such as Swan-Ganz catheters and Impella.
- Administer blood products and participate in the management of chronic and acute renal failure.
- Float to various intensive care units and PACU as necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
- Previous CVICU experience with fresh open hearts such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Active NJ or Compact RN License required at time of submission.
- Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT highly preferred.
