We are seeking a skilled physician for a locum tenens position in a growing outpatient practice located in a vibrant area of New Mexico. Job Overview: Specialty: Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Start Date: February 17, 2025 (Ongoing) Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. If Monday is a holiday, coverage will shift to Tuesday and Wednesday. Work Setting: Outpatient only; no inpatient or surgical responsibilities. Location: Near HOLMAN, NM (exact facility details provided upon application). Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only; no on-call duties required. Responsibilities: Provide outpatient care to patients in the hematology and oncology specialty. Treat an average of 14-16 patients per shift. Work closely with a small team of office staff to ensure a smooth clinical operation. No hospital or surgery center privileges required. No admissions required. Requirements: Board Certification: Required (Board Eligible considered if certification in process). License: Must be licensed to practice in New Mexico. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; no additional certifications needed. Fellowship: Preferred but not mandatory. Experience: Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in hematology and oncology, is highly preferred. Credentialing & Compliance: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45-60 days, depending on the completeness of your file. Temporary privileges are not available for this assignment. Support & Facilities: Support staff on site will include 1 RN and 1 office staff member. The clinic is not equipped for inpatient care, and no resident or teaching supervision is required.
