This position is for a locum tenens Cardiac Anesthesiologist in Texas, providing anesthesia care specifically for cardiac procedures at a level 3 trauma hospital. Details:
Location: Texas ( please inquire for specific location)
Duration: November ongoing Locum coverage
Schedule: 1-3 weeks per month
Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-3p 8 hour guarantee
Call: optional rotating call: 1:3 weekends/month. 1-2 weeknight call/week. On post call day, they come in as usual to help get started on the day and as the morning progresses, if there are no cases for them to sit, they are free to go home and be on call if needed. IF they do not want to go home, they can visit with whoever is in charge that day about staying.
Scope: Cardiac Anesthesia- one day sitting hearts, one day in cardiology, one day post call. Straight forward hearts, TEE preferred.
EMR: Epic
Hospital: level 3 trauma - average 180 hearts per year
Group: 4 MDA's
Credentialing: 30-60 days
Require: BC Anes, TEE trained preferred Active TX License or IMLC Compact License
