Technologist - Blood Bank I

Opportunity to join a large healthcare system with patient-centered culture and strong teammate support. Blood Bank Technologist I; full-time or shift-based schedule; on-site in Florida at Memorial Healthcare System; ongoing/permanent role. Performs intermediate lab procedures, instrumentation, and LIS tasks. - ASCP or equivalent certification preferred or pursuit encouraged - Completion of accredited clinical laboratory program or relevant degree - Ability to work with minimal supervision and in stressful situations - Strong communication and critical thinking skills - No prior work experience required

Complexity of Work: Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation. Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers. Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment, performance with high levels of accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required.
