The Surgery Center Assistant at GulfShore Endoscopy Center supports physicians and nurses in the perioperative and outpatient settings, focusing on gastrointestinal procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, managing pre-op and post-op flow, handling instrument reprocessing, and maintaining medical records and inventory. The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and preferably one year of medical environment experience.
GulfShore Endoscopy Center: is looking to add a Surgery Center Assistant who is a team player to our Outpatient GI Center! As a Surgery Center Assistant at GulfShore Endoscopy Center, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. You will play a crucial role in delivering top-notch care by providing consultations and services in a clear and understandable manner, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment.

Surgery Center Assistant at GulfShore Endoscopy Center :
The Surgery Center Assistant is responsible for various clinical duties throughout the perioperative setting in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Policies and Procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
The Surgery Center Assistant will assist with:
Nurses and physicians in patient care as needed
Pre-op and Post-op patient flow
Operating Room procedures
Instrument reprocessing
Monitoring supply inventory levels
Maintaining electronic patient medical records
Light clerical duties as necessary
Maintaining a clean and safe environment according to industry standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent
Current CPR certification or will obtain upon hire
One year experience in a medical environment preferred.
