Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on a 42-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Patient ratios are 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6 at night
- Team nursing model is utilized
- Required to work every other weekend
- Requires floating to other units as needed
- Expected to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
- Cerner EMR is used, but experience with Cerner is not required
- Team nursing structure provides support on each shift
- All requested time off must be specified at time of application for approval
- Local candidates are considered but within a 75-mile radius will receive a reduced rate
- Holiday coverage commitments are required for at least half of contract holidays
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS certification required
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years overall nursing experience required
- ACLS certification preferred
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
