Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a PCU/Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm to 7:30am
- Care for adult progressive care patient population
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year after their previous end date before returning to facility hospitals
- Fingerprinting and badge pick-up must be completed onsite prior to start date
- Modules must be completed prior to start and are recorded via Silkroad
- PAPRs not accepted as an alternative for facial hair unless medical or religious exemption is approved
- Nicotine-free policy is temporarily waived for nurses
Requirements
- Active permanent Ohio or compact state RN license in hand
- Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent PCU/Stepdown experience required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation is mandatory
- Negative 10-panel drug screen (including nicotine) required within 12 months of start
- No open background check cases or license hits accepted
- One reference from a supervisor in PCU/Stepdown is required for consideration
