We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This position starts on Dec 16, 2025, and features 12-hour weekday shifts and weekend coverage, with a rotating 36/40 schedule and every other weekend required. The assignment involves working autonomously in a high-volume urgent care setting.

- Schedule: 12-hour shifts (8am-8pm weekdays, 8am-4pm weekends); 36/40 rotating schedule; must work every other weekend; flexibility to float at nearby locations
Responsibilities and Duties- Provide autonomous urgent care services to a high volume of patients (40+ per shift)
- Collaborate with a medical assistant and front desk staff as part of the care team
- Conduct assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Perform procedures and manage acute illnesses and injuries as appropriate for urgent care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinic protocols
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements
Additional Information- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina
- Must be able to work independently; new graduates will not be considered
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
- DOT certification is a plus
- Flexibility to cover shifts at nearby sites as needed
