Full description
Seeking a Full Time BC/BE Hospitalist to join a 200 bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center.
- The hours will consist of 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. with a 7 day on/7 day off schedule.
- As a hospital medicine physician, you will admit, treat, and discharge patients and supervise Physician Assistants (PA) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNP); you will be responsible for a variety of patient related duties.
- Demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient.
- Responsible for evaluation and management of patients admitted to the Hospitalist service and those seen in consultation by the Hospitalist service.
- Respond to Code 9 and Rapid Response situations in the Hospital, and direct or participate in providing medical care according to ACLS protocols.
- Maintain a professional relationship with Hospital and Medical staff at all times, and is expected to possess verbal and written communication skills to foster such a relationship.
- Encouraged to be active in community affairs, participate in educational activities and staff functions, and to assist with staff training programs.
- Chart in a timely manner on the EMR system.
