American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a Level III Trauma setting, requiring a NH or compact RN license and strong critical care skills.
Responsibilities- Position is in a 10-bed ICU for adolescent to geriatric patients
- Level III Trauma Center environment
- RN to patient ratio is 2:1
- May be required to float to the PCU
- Uses EPIC EMR system; experience required
- Care includes patients with arterial lines, IV drips, ventilators, and vasoactive medications
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Travelers are required to work two major holidays from Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's and the corresponding weekend or Friday
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be approved, and all RTO must be submitted at the time of application
- Travelers who reside within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Charge and preceptor experience considered a plus
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Proficient in the use of arterial lines, IV drips, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with EPIC EMR required
- Must have own vehicle for transportation
