The Civil Engineer will manage site designs including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility coordination for commercial, residential, and municipal developments. Responsibilities include project planning, field investigations, permitting, report writing, and construction phase services. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, EIT certification, and relevant engineering software proficiency, with a PE license preferred or required within six months.
We are searching for a Civil Engineer for a well-established, growing company. The ideal candidate for the Civil Engineer role will help manage Civil Site designs, including layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management planning, and utility coordination for commercial, residential, and municipal development.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
• Responsible for civil site design, including layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management planning, and utility coordination for commercial, residential, and municipal development.
• Work may include planning, scheduling, and coordinating work with support staff and sub-consultants, conducting field investigations, permitting, report writing, design development, and implementing construction phase services.
• Preparing applications to local and state agencies
Civil Engineer Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2 Years minimum experience in site development projects, including stormwater, grading, utility, and roadway design.
• Experience with applications to the State Department of Environmental Protection.
• PE License in VA or the ability to obtain within six months Preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Hydro CAD, and MS Office.
• EIT Mandatory
• Proficiency in preparing engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, and concept design reports.
Civil Engineer Compensation & Benefits:
• Base salary of $80K - $110K on experience
