Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide overnight Trauma and Acute Care Surgery coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role focuses on high-acuity trauma and emergency general surgery patients with strong physician collaboration and autonomous practice.
Overnight coverage: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Trauma and Acute Care Surgery inpatient services
Manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients
Support trauma surgeons with procedures and ongoing care
Work autonomously with physician and multidisciplinary collaboration
EMR: Epic
Participation in mentorship, leadership development, and continuing education programs
System-wide name clearance required
Full-time overnight shifts
Permanent role only (no locums or locum-to-perm)
Hospital-based inpatient coverage
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required)
NP certification by ANCC or AANPCB REQUIRED
Unrestricted Colorado license REQUIRED
Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment REQUIRED
BLS certification (no exemptions) REQUIRED
Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience OR completion of a surgical fellowship HIGHLY PREFERRED
Not accepting fresh graduates
No visa sponsorship available (no J-1 or H-1B)
Clean malpractice and license history preferred
No sanctions/exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA REQUIRED
CME allowance up to $3,500 + 5 CME days
